Pixie Dust Ear Flap Hat

Pixie Dust is here!

At TNNA, I kept passing by Amy at the Knit Collage booth until I just couldn’t stand it anymore, marched in and promptly ordered every color she had in the Pixie Dust line.
Since I felt kind-of responsible for all this yarn showing up at our back door this week, I decided that what we needed was a hat.  An ear-flap hat, to be exact.  And since Pixie Dust is knit on US 19 needles, this hat came together in a single evening. The pattern uses only one skein and the line comes in 23 colors, so you can make every single member of your family a unique hat.

A single-ply super-bulky yarn with slubs, Pixie Dust creates a uniquely textured fabric, complete with a sparkle fiber blended with the wool.

I had about a yard remaining, so I made a pom-pom for the top, using a plain yarn in a similar color to tie off the pom-pom and sew it to the top.

Whenever Knit Collage yarns come in the door, they leave almost as quickly, so act quickly to get the colors you like the most.
